Santiago: the polluted city

Hi Everybody
Today i  will write about Santiago, the city where i live since i was born.

Santiago is the capital of Chile, a very centralizaded country. Here the majority of services are concentrated what the population needs, as hospitals, universitys, entretention, etc, also exist work oportunities... or so they say. For this many people migrate to Santiago.

At the moment it is very densified, specifically the center of the city, becouse here there is better connectivity and more proximity to services. But the congestion every day increasser by people and by cars. Santiago is full of cars! But  nevertheless every day there are more people who prefer to ride a bicycle, even more bikeways have been created, although this has produced narrow streets and drivers claim why there is more traffic.

Another problem that is related to the above is that the construction companies every day demolish houses to build large buildings. Where once a family lived, now 100 families can live!! in crowded conditions.

This city is very polluted, there is a lot of smog, light, acustic and trash pollution. There are very few green areas, and they are located in the sector whith the highest economic income. Santiago is very uneven.

About my career: Geography

Hello everybody
today I am writing about my university career: Geography
I chose to study geography after a failed attemp to study engineering.  When I was eighteen I chose this option but after a year I could not stand it anymore, that career is very boring.
When I finished that year I decided to change my career and a friend told me about geography. From the first moment I liked a lot becouse combines the study of social sciences and natural scciences, study the relationship between society and territory. I'm learning about landscape, the earth, the society, etc, and I lovit
The most entertaining thing about studying geography is having fields trips. In the three years that I have been studying I have traveled to the beach, to the mountain, to the north, to the south, to many places. And I have learned a lot about them.
I chose to study in the Universidad de Chile becouse it is a state university, its cheaper and has a good reputation becouse has good teachers and its an accredited career.

Egypto

Hi everybody,

Today i´ll write about Egypto. Since i was a chil i dreamed of traveilg to Medio Oriente, especially traveling to Egypto becouse i always saw pictures and videos of their dances and the desert.  And today is still my dream becouse i have also i learned a bit of history and in this territory there are many evidences of the past.
I would love to be in front of the pyramids and the Esfingue and be able to see the magnitude of their sizes. I would also like to know the monuments of millions of years of antiquity, and learn about the ancient civilization that lived there, for example The Otomanos.
But, in the actually its very complicated to travel to this territory becouse there are many military confrontations. Altought there are not exactly in this country, travel to Egypt can by quiet dangerus.

Well, i hope these confrontations are over and i can have the chance to know this country.
